Instructions Before and During Band Camp
A. There will be a short meeting of any interested parents before departing on Sunday. Be sure you have turned in your notarized medical forms with an attached copy of the front and back of your medical card.
B. We will leave West High School by school on Sunday and return to Morristown West High School by bus on Friday.
C. Upon arrival at the dorm, get with your roommate and receive your room key. Bring a string/lanyard for your key. There will be a $30 charge for any lost key(s) payable to ETSU at the time of departure.
D. You are restricted to the ETSU campus during our stay. If an emergency arises, contact Mr. Thomas or any designated chaperone for help.
E. You are responsible for your own equipment. Each piece of equipment and all luggage must have your identification on it where it can be seen.
F. You will be getting a meal band, which you will need to present at each meal. Take care not to lose it.
G. The first meal will be served in the college cafeteria at approximately 5:00 PM.
H. The dorm in which we are staying may be different from last year and will be announced.
I. Our group is housed on separate floors/suites by gender.
J. Keep the noise down in the dorms. NO PLAYING OF INSTRUMENTS IN THE DORM!
K. STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FLOORS OF IN THE ROOMS OF THE OPPOSITE SEX! ALSO OUR BAND STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FLOORS OF THE OTHER BANDS/ GROUPS. (NATURALLY THIS MEANS YOU ARE ALSO NOT PERMITTED TO BE IN THEIR ROOMS!).
L. There will be supervision for all students whether it is in the dormitory or on the practice field, or during recreational time.
M. Any friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, or others who are not registered with the Band Camp ARE NOT ALLOWED on campus at any time during Band Camp.
N. All students are to be in the dorm by 10:00 each night and on your floor/suite by 10:30 PM. LIGHTS OUT AT 11:00 PM. This means that all showers, teeth brushing, hair drying, coke machine, etc. must be totally completed by 11:00 PM.
O. Band camp is considered a school function. All Hamblen County policies are in effect. If you have a medicine that a doctor has prescribed, a form is required to be signed by the doctor! Also, each student will need to give the assigned chaperone his/her medication. The chaperones will dispense all medicines.
P. THE PARENTS OF STUDENT(S) WHO DISOBEY THE RULES AND/OR INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE NOTIFIED, AND THE STUDENTS(S) WILL BE SENT HOME.
