If there are empty spots below then WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS.

All chaperones for band events must be a parent or legal guardian or grandparent of a current band student. By Tennessee State Law, smoking is expressly prohibited on any school grounds. It is prohibited for chaperones to smoke for the duration of any school sponsored function or trip. All chaperones who accompany students on overnight trips and stay in the same room with students must undergo a background check and be finger printed. View the form from Central Office. Please read the Notes for Band Chaperones. This is an important list of duties to ensure the safety of our band members and ensure that the students and equipment arrive where needed.

The Band Boosters are responsible for the concessions at every home football game and for chaperoning all band events. We ask that all parents of band and flag corps members volunteer to work at least two of these games either in the concession stands or as chaperones. Varsity concessions open at approximately 6:00 and are over by ~10:00. Try to arrive an hour early for set-up.

Since the band does not play at Junior Varsity and Freshman games , we are asking each band and flag corps student to volunteer to work at least one. We will also need two or three adults. JV/Freshmen concessions open at ~5:30 and are over by ~8:30. Try to arrive an hour early for set-up.

Basketball schedules will be posted later in the year. Since the band does not play at those games, we are asking parents and students to volunteer in concessions on those dates.

Mr. Thomas wants parents to know that he is not in the band room after school on home game days. Mr. Thomas arrives approximately 30 minutes before the students are required to be in their seats. This means that if your son or daughter stays at the school on home game days, they are not supervised.
